Thank you for visiting my website and for your interest in my photography. I hope you've enjoyed what you have seen so far.
I'm a freelance photographer, having converted a passion into a profession. Sixteen years ago I returned to live in England after a varied and wonderful life travelling the world with my then husband, the late Rodney Calvert, in pursuit of his career in the oil industry as a geophysicist. With my family having flown the nest I was free to devote myself to my passion full time as a professional photographer. My great love for travel and exploration continued, but this time travelling solely in the pursuit of photography. Since my return to England I have ventured out again to Africa x2 (Zimbabwee, Botswana and Namibia), Antarctica x3, Antigua, Australia, Cambodia, Canada (western), China x2 , Croatia, Cyprus, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, Finland x 3, France, Galapagos, Greenland x3, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Madeira, Maldives x3, Mauritius, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Northern Canada (including Baffin Island), South America and (Patagonia), Spain x2, Spitzbergen x2, Sweden, Thailand, Tobago x3, U.S.A. ( Alaska, Texas & Colorado). In November/December 2004 I went to Antarctica for the third time. This time to explore the Weddell Sea in an icebreaker and to visit emperor penguin colonies when the chicks were young. It was the highlight of my travel and nature photography career, a trully amazing trip.
